2022 BMW i4
The i4 all-electric sedan comes in two different trim options. The first is the eDrive40, which is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor that makes 335 horsepower by itself! That's a high-performance vehicle already, but it isn't even the most impressive version of the car. It also gets about 300 miles of range from a single charge.
The other i4 is the 2022 BMW i4 M50, which features the same rear-mounted motor as the eDrive40, but which pairs it with an additional one in the front of the car. These two motors combine for a total of 536 horsepower - enough to zoom by the competition! The M50 is an all-wheel drive vehicle, while the eDrive40 is rear-wheel drive.
2022 BMW iX
The initial 2022 release of BMW's all-electric SUV will feature just one version of the car. The 2022 BMW iX xDrive50 has a pair of motors that combine for an impressive total of 516 horsepower, which can send the all-wheel drive SUV from 0 to 60 in just 4.4 seconds! This vehicle gets about 300 miles on a single charge, like the i4 eDrive40.
There is a performance version of the already-impressive iX coming in the 2023 model year, however. The iX M60 is going to output more than 600 horsepower - make sure to check back on our website for news about this beast of an SUV!
