2023 BMW 7 Series

7 Series

As each year closes out and the new one gets set to open, many of us eagerly await the plentiful announcements of upcoming vehicle announcements and releases, from a new edition of an old favorite or a new model all together. BMW is no exception, announcing quite a few changes, both major and minor, to the next line of vehicles. One of these larger changes is the 2023 7 Series and the features that come along with it.

Engines

An all new luxury sedan, the BMW 7 Series has enough high quality materials, designs, and features that make the price tag  worth it. The 7 Series comes with two different engine options: BMW 740i Sedan and BMW 760i xDrive Sedan. The BMW 740i Sedan features a 3.0L inline 6 cylinder TwinPower turbo gasoline engine. The BMW 760i xDrive Sedan boasts a 4.4L V8 TwinPower turbo gasoline engine. The former gets a gas mileage of 25MPG in the city and 31MPG on the highway. The latter gets 18MPG city and 26MPG highway. The 7 Series also gives up to 536 horsepower.

Upgrades

Overall, the 7 series has received quite a bit of redesign, from the illuminated kidney grille to the split headlight configuration, and the available crystal headlights to enhance clarity both night and day. The BMW 760i xDrive Sedan also has an available luxury option for the rear seats, the rear executive lounge seating option, which includes a reclining seat, executive lounge center console, and a 31” BMW theater screen with  an impressive audio system to make the vehicle feel like a theater on wheels. Touchscreens on the rear doors allow for climate control and comfort settings to be easily adjusted by rear passengers.

The driver’s seat is not lacking in luxury either. A control center features the BMW curved display. The new sedan also features hands free driving assist up to 80MPH on a divided highway, as well as a radiant heat package that heats up the steering wheel and arm rests for those cold winter mornings. Active ventilation and massaging are optional. A standard Panoramic Sky Lounge LED roof features a larger, gorgeous view with multi-color illumination system

Safety Features

In terms of safety features, the 7 Series offers a variety of standard features, including active blind spot protection, frontal collision warning with city collision mitigation, lane departure warning, and active park distance control.

Electric i7

The 7 series also comes in an all electric version, the i7, which features 5th generation eDrive technology and can run up to 318 miles on a single charge with a maximum horsepower of 536. Prices for the 2023 BMW 7 series start at around $119,300 MSRP

While the cost of the i7 is a lot more than the BMW’s gasoline-using counterpart, electric vehicles do end up saving money in the long run. Driving an electric vehicle eliminates the expenses of gas and oil changes, not to mention you can expect lower lifetime maintenance costs, too.
